Valor WBB Faces Off with Tabor Bluejays for KCAC Crown on Monday in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Evangel Women's Basketball concludes the 2025-26 KCAC Conference Tournament on Monday (Mar. 2) night, hosting the seven-seeded Tabor College Bluejays in the KCAC Conference Tournament Championship at 7:00 p.m. in AGFinancial Arena. Tickets must be purchased ahead of time and can be bought online by clicking here.

SERIES HISTORY

Evangel is 1-3 all-time against Tabor, but took the most recent matchup earlier this season at home, 60-54.

OPENING STORYLINES

  • Evangel is coming off a 80-55 win over Saint Mary in the KCAC Quarterfinals on Saturday, holding the four-seeded Spires to their season low.

  • Evangel's offense averages 90.1 points per game, currently third in the nation in points per game.

  • Heaven Shockley leads Evangel in points per game, currently averaging 15.1 with Carson Dillard just behind at 13.9. Ali Kamies and Cassidy Hambelton round out double digit averages for EU, putting up 12.4 and 12.2 per contest, respectively.

  • This is Evangel's first conference championship appearance in the KCAC and first since 2009-10, regardless of conference affiliation. Evangel fell to William Jewell in overtime on March 9th, 2010 on the road, 67-60.

  • The last conference championship for Evangel came in 2004-05, when Evangel defeated William Jewell on February 28th, 2005, 67-42, at home.

  • Evangel head coach Madi Wallace has had a historic start to her EU coaching career, as her current 26 wins are the sixth most in a single season at Evangel.
