SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Evangel Men's Basketball competes against the York Panthers on Saturday (Feb. 8) afternoon at 2:00 PM, their final home game before opening a two game road stand.
SERIES HISTORY
Evangel will take on York in their sixth all-time matchup, as EU leads all-time, 5-0. The Valor defeated the Panthers on the road back in December, 83-74.
OPENING STORYLINES

Evangel earned a key road win on Wednesday night, defeating Saint Mary 65-61, as head coach Bert Capel earned his first win against the Spires.

Garrett Davault led Evangel's charge on Wednesday, scoring a team high 19 points in what proved to be a defensive battle.

Davault averages a team high 16.3 points per game, the ninth highest average in the KCAC so far this season.

Seniors Josh Mason and Manrique Alvarado round out double digit scoring averages for EU at 10.2 and 10.0 ppg, respectively.

Manrique Alvarado leads the Valor with 4.5 assists per game while Garrett Davault leads the Valor with 5.3 rebounds per game. Defensively, Josh Mason leads the Valor with 1.0 steals per game while Isaac Wootton averages 0.6 blocks per game.

The Valor currently sit tied for seventh in the conference standings with McPherson, while York is currently 13th.

Evangel opens a two game road stand on Wednesday (Feb. 12) evening, taking on the Southwestern College Moundbuilders at 7:00 p.m. in Winfield, Kan.
