SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Evangel Women's Basketball hits the road to take on the Saint Mary Spires on Wednesday (Feb. 5) evening, looking to take another win against a potential conference tournament team.

SERIES HISTORY

Evangel will take on USM in their fourth all-time matchup, as Evangel trails all-time, 1-2. In their last matchup with the Spires, the Valor fell at home, 59-64. Micah Clayton scored 15 points to lead EU.

OPENING STORYLINES

• Evangel took a strong home win against the higher ranked Bethel Threshers on Saturday, 82-64. Ali Kamies continued her span on strong games, scoring 24 to lead EU.

• Jazzy Kirby (18 pts.), Carson Dillard (12 pts.), and Kamie Jenkins (11 pts.) rounded out double digit scoring in Wednesday's win.

• Evangel shot 47.5 percent from the floor on Saturday, holding the Threshers to just a 36.9 percent shooting performance.

• Kamies leads the Valor offensively so far this season, averaging 13.3 points per game, while Carson Dillard (12.3) rounds out double digit scoring averages.

• Jenkins leads the Valor in rebounds per game, averaging 10.3 boards per game. Kamie also currently sits tied for 15th in school history for blocks, currently with 52.

• EU is currently in fifth in the conference standings while USM is tied with three teams for sixth, all one game behind the Valor.

Evangel returns home to host the York Panthers on Saturday (Feb. 8) afternoon at noon in AGFinancial Arena.
