SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Evangel Men's Basketball hits the road once again on Wednesday (Feb. 5) evening, taking on the Saint Mary Spires at 7:30 p.m. in Leavenworth, Kan., as the Valor continue to fight to stay alive for a conference tournament berth.
SERIES HISTORY
Evangel will take on Saint Mary in their fourth all-time matchup, as EU trails all-time, 0-3. The Valor fell earlier this season to the Spires on a buzzer beater, 83-84.
OPENING STORYLINES

Evangel fell by a narrow margin to Bethel, 70-73, who came into Saturday's game at fourth in the conference standings.

Garrett Davault led Evangel's charge on Saturday, scoring a team high 14 points, while Ty Campbell and Harrison Doennig rounded out double digit scoring, both scoring 10 in the loss.

Davault averages a team high 16.1 points per game, the ninth highest average in the KCAC so far this season.

Seniors Josh Mason and Manrique Alvarado round out double digit scoring averages for EU at 10.9 and 10.0 ppg, respectively.

Manrique Alvarado leads the Valor with 4.6 assists per game while Garrett Davault leads the Valor with 5.3 rebounds per game. Defensively, Josh Mason leads the Valor with 1.1 steals per game while Isaac Wootton averages 0.6 blocks per game.

The Valor currently sit tied for eighth in the conference standings, while Saint Mary is currently in sole possession of third.
