SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Evangel Women's Basketball opens the 2024-25 KCAC Conference Tournament Quarterfinals on Thursday (Feb. 27) evening at 7:00 p.m., taking on the #6 seeded Sterling College Warriors for the right to advance to the semifinals.
SERIES HISTORY
Evangel will take on Sterling in their ninth all-time matchup, as Evangel leads all-time, 6-2. The Valor are 1-1 against the Warriors so far this season, falling on the road by a point and taking the win last weekend, 77-64.
OPENING STORYLINES

Evangel took a 77-64 win at home against Sterling on Saturday, using a 19 point outing from Ali Kamies and a strong defensive fourth quarter to solidify the win and earn the three seed.

Kamies leads the Valor offensively so far this season, averaging 13.8 points per game, while Carson Dillard is just below, averaging 13.1.

Kamie Jenkins leads the Valor in rebounds per game, averaging 10.8 boards per game and leads the team with 29 blocked shots.

Kamies was named the Newcomer of the Year in the conference as well as a 1st team All-KCAC honoree. Dillard and Jenkins both earned honorable mention honors while Evin Montgomery was named to the KCAC All-Freshman team.

The Valor currently hold the 11th longest winning streak in the NAIA with eight consecutive wins.
LOOKING AHEAD
Evangel will await Thursday's results and either host the #7 seeded Bethany College Swedes or travel to the #2 Tabor College Bluejays on Saturday (Mar. 1) evening at 7:00 p.m. for the KCAC Conference Semifinals.
