SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Evangel Women's Basketball closes out their 2024-25 regular season with a big matchup on Saturday (Feb. 22) afternoon, hosting Sterling College at 1:00 p.m. in search of a host spot for the conference tournament with a win. Saturday is also senior day, with festivities taking place between the women's and men's contest.
SERIES HISTORY
Evangel will take on Sterling in their eighth all-time matchup, as Evangel leads all-time, 5-2. In their last matchup with the Warriors, the Valor were narrowly defeated on the road, 83-82, with Dillard leading EU with 19 points.
OPENING STORYLINES

Evangel took a 83-74 win at home against Oklahoma Wesleyan on Thursday, using a pair of 20+ point outings from Ali Kamies and Carson Dillard to lead the Valor.

Ali Kamies leads the Valor offensively so far this season, averaging 13.6 points per game, while Carson Dillard is just below, averaging 13.4.

For the #2 seed, Evangel will need to win on Saturday and have both Tabor and Friends lose. For the #3 seed, Evangel will need to win and have either Tabor OR Friends lose. For the #4 seed, Evangel will need to win as well as Tabor and Friends. A loss will put Evangel in the #5 seed and have them traveling for the quarterfinals.
