SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Evangel Women's Basketball competes in their final road game of the regular season on Saturday (Feb. 15) afternoon, taking on the Bethany Swedes in Lindsborg, Kansas. Tip-off is set for 1:00 PM.

SERIES HISTORY

Evangel will take on Bethany in their sixth all-time matchup, as Evangel leads all-time, 3-2. In their last matchup with the Swedes, the Valor were victorious at home, 83-76. Jazzy Kirby scored 18 points to pace the Valor last month.

OPENING STORYLINES

• Evangel took a narrow 71-68 win on the road against Southwestern on Tuesday, using a 16 point performance from Carson Dillard to pace all scorers.

• Ali Kamies (12 pts.), Kamie Jenkins (10 pts.), and Lexi Berry (10 pts.) rounded out double digit scoring in Tuesday's win.

• Evangel was outshot on Thursday, 41.3 percent to 38.6 percent, but outscored Southwestern in second chance points, 13-6.

• Carson Dillard leads the Valor offensively so far this season, averaging 13.1 points per game, while Ali Kamies is just shy, averaging 13.0.

• Kamie Jenkins leads the Valor in rebounds per game, averaging 10.4 boards per game. 

• Evangel sits in fourth in the KCAC standings while Bethany is currently tied for seventh with Saint Mary and needs just one win to earn a spot in the conf. tournament.

LOOKING AHEAD

Evangel returns home on Wednesday (Feb. 19) evening to host the Oklahoma Wesleyan Eagles at 5:30 p.m. in AGFinancial Arena with broadcast being brought by Mediacom22.
