WACO, Texas – On Thursday morning, Zach Myers was recognized for his exceptional 2025 season, as the graduate defensive end was named as a first-team AFCA/NAIA All-American by the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) for the second time in his career. (First time earning 1st team honors)
Myers, a Lee's Summit, Mo., native, concluded his Evangel career with a strong showing, earning KCAC Defensive Player of the Year honors. Zach finished with 15 tackles for loss and 10.5 sacks, leading the KCAC in both marks. Myers also finished the year with 52 total tackles.
Evangel concluded its fall season with a 9-3 overall record, winning the KCAC Kessinger Division and earning their second NAIA postseason berth in the last three seasons.
