Box Score

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Valor Women's Basketball opened their 2025-26 season on Thursday (Oct. 30) evening, hosting the Crowley's Ridge Pioneers. In Madi Wallace's first game as head coach, the Valor made a statement, running away with a 133-30 victory, breaking multiple school records, including the most points scored in a basketball contest at EU (formerly 111 against Southwest Baptist in 1981).

Evangel came out with heavy pressure to open the game, smothering the Pioneers, scoring 40 points to CRC's 13, to take a 40-13 lead into the second quarter. Heaven Shockley's eight points in the period helped pace the Valor attack.

The Valor defense continued to be relentless in the second quarter, holding CRC to eight points, while scoring 23 of their own. 11 Pioneer turnovers resulted in several extra possessions for EU, as the Valor led 63-21 at the halftime break.

The third quarter proved to be the biggest in terms of scoring differential, as the Evangel defense suffocated Crowley's Ridge, forcing 19 turnovers in the period and holding the Pioneers to just three points. The Evangel offense scored 44 points in the third period, as Carson Dillard scored 16 points in under four minutes of play, to help EU to a 107-24 lead.

Evangel shot 84 percent in the final period of play, missing just two shots as Ashton Bell scored 10 points in the final quarter of her first collegiate game to lead EU to a dominant 133-30 victory over the Pioneers of Crowley's Ridge.
