SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Evangel Women's Basketball resumes their road trip on Saturday (Jan. 25) afternoon, taking on the Sterling College Warriors in a 1:00 p.m. matchup in Sterling, Kansas.

SERIES HISTORY

Evangel will take on Sterling in their seventh all-time matchup, as Evangel leads all-time, 5-1. In their last matchup with the Warriors, the Valor were victorious, 85-70. Carson Dillard scored 20 points to pace the Valor in their win last season.

OPENING STORYLINES

• Evangel was victorious in a gritty overtime win against Oklahoma Wesleyan on Wednesday, 74-67, behind a 17-point outing for Jazzy Kirby.

• Lexi Berry (16 pts.), Ali Kamies (12 pts.), and Kamie Jenkins (11 pts.), rounded out double digit scoring for Evangel in Wednesday's win.

• Evangel shot over 50 percent from the floor in Wednesday's win, the fifth game this season shooting over 50 percent (all five games were wins).

• Carson Dillard leads the Valor offensively so far this season, averaging 11.7 points per game, while Ali Kamies (11.5) rounds out double digit scoring averages.

• Kamie Jenkins leads the Valor in rebounds per game, averaging 9.6 boards per game. 

• Evangel and Sterling are both tied for fifth in the conference standings, with Saturday being the first of two matchups between both squads.

LOOKING AHEAD

Evangel concludes their road trip on Wednesday (Jan. 29) evening, taking on the Ottawa Braves at 5:30 p.m. in Ottawa, Kansas.
