SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Valor Men's Basketball looks to earn their sixth consecutive victory on Saturday (Feb. 10) afternoon, as they travel to Kansas City, Mo., to take on the Avila Eagles.
Tip-off is set for 3:00 p.m., in the Mabee Gymnasium as former Heart of America Conference foes face off for the second time this season.
SERIES HISTORY
Evangel and Avila match up for the 70th all-time match against both squads on Saturday, as the Valor lead the head-to-head, 50-19. EU claimed the win at home earlier this season, 90-66.
OPENING STORYLINES

Evangel travels to Kansas City, Missouri, on Saturday (Feb. 10) afternoon to take on the Avila Eagles.

Valor Men's Basketball took a crucial conference victory on Wednesday against McPherson, 97-88, to take sole possession of fourth place in the conference standings.

Evangel currently has winning records in every month of play except October (0-1) and January (4-5).

The Valor have had a strong offense so far this season, averaging 82.7 points per game and shooting 48.5 percent from the floor, but are allowing 79.6 points per game.

Pritchett ranks in the EU record book in several different categories. Josh currently is 2nd in Evangel history in assists (511), third in steals (210), 5th in scoring (1,902), 6th in blocks (73), as well as 6th in three point makes (210).

Evangel's win against the McPherson Bulldogs was the first all-time in program history, as both teams are tied, 1-1.

Evangel currently sits in fourth in the KCAC. If the season were to end today, the Valor would host McPherson in the first round of the conference tournament.
