SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Evangel Women's Basketball concludes their home stand on Saturday (Feb. 17) afternoon, taking on the Sterling College Warriors in their penultimate regular season home game in the Ashcroft Center.
Tip-off for Saturday's game is set for 3:00 p.m. as the Valor look to take their fifth consecutive win of the season.
SERIES HISTORY
Evangel and Sterling match up for the sixth time in program history on Saturday, as EU looks to extend their series lead to four games, currently at 4-1.
OPENING STORYLINES

Evangel concludes their home stand on Saturday (Feb. 17) afternoon when they play host to the Sterling College Warriors, in their penultimate regular season game in the Ashcroft Center.

The Valor took down the Bethany Swedes on Wednesday evening, using a big fourth quarter performance from Micah Clayton to take the win, 68-64.

Evangel currently holds a 14-8 record overall and are 12-7 in the KCAC. The Valor currently sit in fourth place in the conference standings and would host Kansas Wesleyan in the conference tournament quarterfinals, if the season ended today.

Evangel was led by Micah Clayton on Wednesday, scoring 19 points in the win. Carson Dillard and Kate Gilbert also recorded double digit scoring in the win, scoring 15 and 12 points, respectively.

Kamie Jenkins pulled down 10 rebounds in the win, her 13th game this year with double digit rebounding numbers.

The Valor are tied for fifth in the nation in offensive rebounding, currently averaging 16.5 per game.

Evangel allows just 62 points per game, the third lowest mark in the conference behind Tabor (56.5) and Friends (60.9).
