SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Evangel Women's Basketball travels to Florida to take part in the Warner Classic on Thursday and Friday, Dec. 19th and 20th. The Valor will take on host school, Warner, on Thurs., before capping off the classic by taking on #6 Dakota State on Friday.
SERIES HISTORY
Evangel leads both Warner and Dakota State, 1-0, in their all-time matchups. The Valor defeated Warner on New Years Eve of 2004, 68-53, in Lake Wales. Evangel defeated Dakota State in the NAIA National Tournament back in March of 2003, 54-45, to advance to the second round of play.
OPENING STORYLINES

Evangel took an 83-79 win on the road against York last Saturday, moving just one game shy of .500 on the season and into eighth in the conference standings.

Evangel was led by junior Carson Dillard last Saturday, as Dillard scored 20 points in the win.

Kamie Jenkins is currently second in the conference in rebounds per game, currently averaging 10.1.

Carson Dillard leads the Valor offensively so far this season, averaging 12.2 points per game, while Kamie Jenkins (11.1) rounds out double digit scoring averages.

Evangel was picked to finish fourth in the KCAC preseason poll.

Evangel enjoys their Christmas break and returns to action on January 4th, 2025, taking on the McPherson College Bulldogs in McPherson, Kansas, at 12:00 p.m.
