SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Evangel Women's Basketball returns home on Monday (Nov. 25) evening to host the Williams Baptist Eagles for a non-conference contest. Monday's game will aid the Salvation Army, as a donation of two canned food items grants free admission.

SERIES HISTORY

Evangel takes on Williams Baptist in their third matchup all time on Monday. The Valor lead the all-time series, 2-0, claiming a win last season in Arkansas, 75-52, behind a 15 point showing from Dillard and an 18 rebound performance from Jenkins.

OPENING STORYLINES

• Evangel fell in their previous game, 60-57, to conference foe Tabor College on Saturday.

• Micah Clayton led the charge for Evangel, scoring 16 points in the loss on Saturday. Ali Kamies rounded out double digit scoring for Evangel, scoring 12 points.

• Despite falling short of victory, Evangel shot a season high 45.7 percent in the loss to Tabor, who were the conference favorites in the preseason coaches poll.

• Kamie Jenkins leads the Valor offensively so far this season, averaging 10.7 points per game, while Carson Dillard (10.3) and Micah Clayton (10.2) round out double digit scoring averages. 

• Evangel was picked to finish fourth in the KCAC preseason poll by the conference coaches.

LOOKING AHEAD

Evangel takes a break for the Thanksgiving holiday and returns to action on Wednesday, Dec. 4th at 5:30 p.m. against the Saint Mary Spires in AGFinancial Arena.
