SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Evangel Women's Basketball looks to pick up their first win of the season on Saturday (Nov. 16) afternoon, hosting the Friends Falcons for their conference opener at 12:00 p.m. in AGFinancial Arena.

SERIES HISTORY
Evangel will take on Friends in their fourth all-time matchup, as the Valor trail all-time, 1-2. In their last matchup with Friends, the Valor fell at home, 69-79, last season.
OPENING STORYLINES

Evangel fell at home on Wednesday, 54-62, against the Owls of William Woods.

Evangel was led by sophomore Kamie Jenkins, who scored 18 points, while pulling down 15 rebounds, her first double-double of the season.

The Valor will look to increase their shooting percentage on Saturday, as they currently shoot 36.3 percent from the floor and just 24.5 percent from beyond the three point line.

Jenkins leads the Valor offensively so far this season, averaging 13.0 points per game, while Carson Dillard (12.3) and Micah Clayton (10.0) round out double digit scoring averages.

The Valor host two more consecutive home games to open the season and will hit the road for their first match on November 23rd in Hillsboro, Kansas against Tabor.

Evangel was picked to finish fourth in the KCAC preseason poll, with Friends picked to finish second in the conference.
