SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Evangel Women's Basketball returns to action on Wednesday (Nov. 13) evening, hosting the William Woods Owls at 5:30 p.m., in search of their first win of the season.

SERIES HISTORY
Evangel will take on William Woods in their 39th all-time matchup, as the Valor trail all-time, 15-23, against the Owls. In their last matchup with WWU, the Valor won, 92-70, back in the 2021-22 season.
OPENING STORYLINES

Evangel fell at home last Tuesday, 64-80, to longtime rival, College of the Ozarks.

Evangel was led by junior Carson Dillard, who scored 21 points, while pulling down three rebounds and passing off three assists in the loss.

Kamie Jenkins and Micah Clayton rounded out double digit scoring for Evangel, both scoring 16 points in the loss.

Evangel struggled to shoot from range in the loss on Tuesday, shooting 3-14 from the floor and are currently shooting 8-34 from deep (23.5 percent).

The Valor host three more consecutive home games to open the season and will hit the road for their first match on November 23rd in Hillsboro, Kansas.

Evangel will also look to shoot better from the charity stripe, as they currently shoot just 61.4 percent from the line.
LOOKING AHEAD
Evangel remains at home and opens conference play on Saturday (Nov. 16) afternoon at 12:00 p.m. against the Friends Falcons.
