SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Valor Men's Basketball plays host to the William Woods Owls on Wednesday (Nov. 13) evening, looking to take their third win of the season, in a battle of unbeaten teams.

SERIES HISTORY
Evangel will take on William Woods in their fourth all-time matchup, as EU leads all-time, 3-0. The Valor earned a forfeit victory on the road last season, due to an ineligible player competing for the Owls.
OPENING STORYLINES

Evangel Men's Basketball plays host to the William Woods Owls on Wednesday (Nov. 13) evening at 7:30 p.m. in AGFinancial Arena.

Evangel took a 77-69 win over their longtime rival, College of the Ozarks, last Tuesday night at home.

Manrique Alvarado led the Valor again on Tuesday, scoring 15 points in the season opening, while also passing off a team high nine assists.

Garrett Davault finished with 13 points in the win, while Josh Mason and Bryce Ware both added 11 points to round out double digit scoring on Tuesday.

The Valor defense forced 11 turnovers in the win and blocked a trio of shots.

The Valor host three more consecutive home games to open the season and will hit the road for their first match on November 23rd in Hillsboro, Kansas.

Stephen Salvi was named the KCAC Defensive Player of the Week for his effort against C of O, pulling down a team high seven rebounds while blocking a pair of shots and coming away with a pair of steals.
LOOKING AHEAD
Evangel opens conference play on Saturday (Nov. 16) afternoon, hosting the Friends Falcons at 2:00 p.m. in AGFinancial Arena.
