SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Evangel Women's Basketball kicks off another season on Friday (Nov. 1) evening, hosting the Mission University Patriots in a battle of crosstown opponents.
Tip-off for Friday's game is set for 5:30 p.m. as the Valor look to open their season on the right foot. Tickets can be purchased online by clicking here, or at the gate, card only.
SERIES HISTORY
Evangel and Mission have matched up just one time in the past, as the Valor took the lone contest, 90-65, over the Patriots back in the 2022-23 season at home.
OPENING STORYLINES

Evangel Women's Basketball opens their 67th season on Friday (Nov. 1) evening, hosting crosstown opponent, Mission, at 5:30 p.m. in the brand new AGFinancial Arena.

Evangel finished 16-10 last season, falling in the conference tournament quarterfinals to Kansas Wesleyan on the road.

The Valor return several starters including KCAC Freshman of the Year, Kamie Jenkins, who averaged a double-double last season, 12.3 points per game and 10.3 rebounds per game.

Evangel brings several newcomers to the fold in the 2024-25 season, including transfers Ali Kamies, Alyssa McCarty, and Jada Henry.

The Valor host five consecutive home games to open the season and will hit the road for their first match on November 23rd in Hillsboro, Kansas.

The Valor fell in their home opener last season to conference opponent, Friends, looking to take their first home opening win under Jim Middleton.
