SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Valor Men's Basketball returns to action after a nearly three-week break on Wednesday (Jan. 3) evening, taking on the Sterling College Warriors in Sterling, Kansas.
Tip-off is set for 8:00 p.m., at the Gleason Center with the Valor looking to grab their fourth consecutive victory and sixth win in conference play.
SERIES HISTORY
Evangel and Sterling will match up for the fourth time in program history, as Evangel leads the all-time series, 2-1. The Valor fell to the Warriors last season in an early season tournament, 71-78.
OPENING STORYLINES

Evangel travels to Sterling, Kan., on Wednesday (Jan. 3) evening, looking to take down the Warriors of Sterling College.

Wednesday's matchup is the KCAC's featured "Road to Hartman" doubleheader of the week, with ESPN Radio traveling to cover the road matchup.

Valor Men's Basketball played a solid all-around game to defeat MACU on the road, 82-75, in their second non-conference win of the season.

Four Valor athletes average double digit scoring so far this season, with Josh Pritchett leading the charge with 14.3 points per game.

The Valor have had a strong offense so far this season, averaging 83 points per game and shooting 49.3 percent from the floor.

Pritchett ranks in the EU record book in several different categories. Josh currently is 2nd in Evangel history in assists (455), 4th in steals (192), 5th in scoring (1,712), 7th in blocks (65), as well as 9th in three point makes (189).

Evangel's win against MACU was the fifth all-time against the Evangels, as EU leads, 5-1.

The Valor will compete in their fourth road conference game of the season on Wednesday, looking to remain perfect on the road in conference matches.
