SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Evangel Women's Basketball travels to Leavenworth, Kansas on Saturday (Jan. 13) afternoon to take on the conference leading Saint Mary Spires.

Tip-off for Saturday's game is set for 2:00 p.m. at the Ryan Sports Center with the Valor looking to earn their fourth consecutive win in conference play.

SERIES HISTORY

Evangel and Saint Mary will match up for just the second time in program history on Saturday, as the Valor lead the matchup, 1-0, taking the lone win in 1991, 67-59.

OPENING STORYLINES

• Evangel concludes their road trip on Saturday (Jan. 13) afternoon, traveling to Leavenworth, Kan., to take on the conference leading Saint Mary Spires at 2:00 p.m.

• The Valor recorded their fourth straight win on Wednesday, taking down the OKWU Eagles on the road, 65-53.

• Evangel currently holds a 8-4 record overall and are 6-3 in the KCAC. The Valor are alone at fourth in the conference with Bethany, Kansas Wesleyan, and Bethel all below them just a win away.

• Kamie Jenkins continues to prove to be in a force and one of the best freshmen in the NAIA. Jenkins has recorded six consecutive double-doubles, scoring 17 points and pulling down 11 rebounds in the win on Wednesday over OKWU.

• Jazzy Kirby continues to distribute the ball well for Evangel, leading the team with 4.1 assist/gm

• The Valor are 12th in the nation in offensive rebounding, currently averaging 16.5 per game.

• Carson Dillard scored 14 points in the win over OKWU on Wednesday, just one point shy of her career high.

LOOKING AHEAD

Evangel Women's Basketball returns home on Wednesday (Jan. 17) evening to host the Bethel Threshers at 5:30 p.m. in the Ashcroft Center.
