CANTON, Mo. – The Evangel women's basketball team continued its hot streak with its fourth win in five games after a 61-49 victory at Culver-Stockton.

The win helps the Crusaders keep pace in the race for the top six seeds in the Heart Postseason Tournament which would give Evangel a first round bye to the Quarterfinals. After the win, Evangel sits in seventh place just two games behind William Penn with two of its final three on the road.

Thursday night, Evangel forced 21 turnovers to sweep the season series against Culver-Stockton. The Crusaders shot just 36 percent from the field but had 20 more attempts than the Wildcats while holding their opponent under 50 points for a second straight game.

Alison Jarrell paced Evangel with 13 points while Allison Swanson finished with seven points and 13 boards. Kylee Moore came off the bench to score 12 points and add three assists in the win.

Culver-Stockton was led by 13 points from Lacey Clark as CSC was just 9-of-18 from the free throw line to finish at 50 percent.
