Fayette, Missouri – Evangel men's basketball team stayed perfect in conference play improving to 5-0 in the Heart of America conference with a 87-68 road win at Central Methodist Thursday night.

Six Crusaders scored double figures led by Korry Tillery with 24 points and 16 rebounds.

Jordan Clark, Dylan Bekemeier and Brodie Wingert all scored 12 points, Nick Yocum added 11 points and Richard Chapman had 10.

Tillery's 24 points and 16 rebounds marked his fourth straight double-double and his eighth of the season. During the game, he became the 12^th player in Evangel's program history to surpass 600 career rebounds. Tillery moved to 10^th all-time at Evangel finishing the game with 611 career rebounds. 

Central Methodist was led by Mike McCode and Mitchell Farr, who scored 13 points apiece.  Greg Williams added 12 points for the Eagles in the loss.

Evangel led 39-32 at halftime and opened the second half with a 23-11 run during the first seven minutes of the second half to take command in the game.

"They opened the second half in a zone and we were able to come out a hit a couple of three's against it right away," said Evangel head coach Steve Jenkins. "We got good contributions from everybody. Korry Tillery is in a mode where he's playing like every rebound is his. He led us again tonight."

The Crusaders shot 53% from the field and hit 8 of their 17 three-point attempts. Central Methodist shot 41% from the field, and 30% from three.

Evangel Improved to 10-6 on the season and 5-0 in the HAAC. Central Methodist fell to11-5, and 3-2 in the conference.

Evangel returns to the Ashcroft Center on Saturday to play Baker University in conference play.  Game time is 4:00pm.
