Evangel Crusaders (1-1) at John Brown (Ark.) Classic

Crusaders at John Brown Classic: Evangel will play two games this weekend in the John Brown University Classic in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. The Crusaders face John Brown (Ark.) Friday then College of the Ozarks Saturday afternoon. Both games are rematches from Evangel's first two games of the year.

Evangel is 1-1 after an opening night win over John Brown then a loss at home to College of the Ozarks on Nov. 11. The Crusaders split two exhibition games last weekend at Missouri Southern. Evangel lost to Rockhust (Mo.) 64-45 last Friday then defeated Oklahoma Panhandle State 65-57 in overtime.

John Brown (Ark.) is off to a 1-5 start. The Golden Eagles are ranked #7 in the NAIA-I preseason poll. John Brown's win came Nov. 13 against Crowley's Ridge (Ark.) 71-51. They have played HAAC opponent MidAmerica Nazarene and lost 63-49 in Olathe, Kansas on Nov. 12. The Eagles are coming off of a 62-58 loss at home to Oklahoma Wesleyan on Tuesday.

College of the Ozarks and Evangel renew their rivalry and meet on the neutral court for the first time ever. The Bobcats are 2-4. Since beating the Crusaders at Evangel on Nov. 11, College of the Ozarks has lost twice falling at Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) 89-71 and at Bethel (Tenn.) 84-72 last weekend.
