DUBUQUE, Iowa – The Evangel women's soccer team was unable to finish off a road win Saturday evening battling Clarke to a 0-0 tie in Heart Conference action.

The Crusaders fired shots all evening at the Pride goal but were unable to find the back of the net. Evangel finished with 13 shots in the match including five in overtime to out-shoot Clarke, 5-1.

"This evening the ladies set another defensive standard by securing our sixth shut out of the season," said head coach Bruce Deaton. "And although we weren't able to find the back of the net this evening, the point earned by the draw was big for us."

Caitlin Cox finished with two saves in net as the Evangel defense stifled Clarke to attempt just four shots total in the match.

Bianca Biffert tallied three shots for Evangel with two on goal, while Grace Wright also finished with three shots for the Crusaders.

Evangel remains in third after Saturday's conference matches and as a result of tonight's point, the Crusaders secured a top-four finish and a home game for the first round of the Heart of America post-season conference tournament.
