Strong Second Half Pushes Crusaders Past Mustangs

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – After finding themselves down by three at halftime, the Crusaders outscored the Mustangs 25-9 in the third quarter to take control of the game and cruise to a 77-56 victory.

The Crusaders shot 64% from the field in the second half en route to their victory. Strong defense helped as they kept the Mustangs to 33% from the field in the second half. 

Senior Lexie Vaught made a bucket with 7:57 left in the third quarter to give the Crusaders the lead for good.

Sophomore Brianna Vogts just missed a double-double with 22 points and 8 rebounds. Vaught had 13 points, while fellow senior Kylee Moore had 10.

Freshman Sadie Chisum had nine assists and six steals in the game.
