Evangel Men's Soccer Comes Up Empty in 1-0 Loss at LSU-Alexandria

ALEXANDRIA, La. -- The Evangel men's soccer team battled to a 1-0 loss Saturday evening at LSU-Alexandria in non-conference action.

The Crusaders and Generals battled to a scoreless tie for nearly 70 minutes. However, LSUA picked up the game's only goal in the 67th minute off a throw in to the box.

Evangel struggled to find shots in the first half as LSUA out-shot the Crusaders 6-1. However, Evangel placed six shots in the second half to pull the margin closer. Despite out shooting Evangel, only four shots from the Generals were on goal in the match.

Christian Clardy and Nick Wagner had the two shots on goal for Evangel, while Josiah Dinwiddie recorded two saves.
