St. Louis, Mo. – Evangel women's soccer lost to NCAA-III Lake Forest (Ill.), currently 17th nationally at that level, 5-2 on Saturday at Fontbonne University. 

Lake Forest was able to put in the first four goals of the first half. Michelle Greeneway had a hat trick in the first half, heading in her first goal in the 2^nd minute, and hitting twice more in the 9^th and 19^th minutes. Charlotte Jackson scored in the 32^nd minute to round out the scoring for Lake Forest. Evangel struck back before halftime with Rebekah Pell scoring in the 39^th minute off an assist from Kearstyn Stephens. 

Pell would follow up her first half goal with another in the second half, this one in the 75^th minute, with the assist coming from Lesleigh Fenton. Pell, a freshman from Rogersville, Missouri, has scored all five of the Crusaders' goals this season. Lake Forest scored the final goal of the contest with Catherine Bernish scoring in the 77^th minute. 

With the loss, Evangel's record dropped to 0-4. Lake Forest improved to 3-1-1. The Crusaders are next in action on September 15^th when they travel to Walnut Ridge, Arkansas to take on Williams Baptist (Ark.).  Kickoff for that game is scheduled for 2:00pm.
