OLATHE, Kan. – The Evangel women's basketball team was unable to hang with the 6th-ranked MidAmerica Nazarene Pioneers Wednesday night, falling 83-59 in conference action.

The Crusaders were unable to keep pace with a hot-shooting MidAmerica Nazarene team that entered the game on a 10-game winning streak. MNU shot 47 percent from the field while Evangel shot just 27 percent.

Junior Sydnee Garrett had her double-double streak come to an end after finishing with 24 points and eight rebounds. Garrett reached the 20-point mark for the seventh time this season aided by 12-of-13 shooting from the free throw line.

The Pioneers were led by Alisha Washington's 20 points while Justice Daniel added 17 points in the win.

The Crusaders head north for a matchup with Grand View. Tipoff from Des Moines, Iowa, is scheduled for 2 p.m.
