The Evangel University Athletics Hall of Fame was founded to recognize those individuals who have made a significant contribution to Evangel Athletics.

Join us for a wonderful evening as we induct the newest members into the Evangel University Athletics Hall of Fame on  Friday, September 22, at 6 p.m. inside Crusader Hall.

Eligibility for Nomination to the Hall of Fame

Former student-athletes consideration:

  • At least 10 years removed from last season of competition
  • Must have had a significant impact on the team(s) of which they were a member or be recognized for their achievement with honors that include (but not limited to) all-conference, all-region, All-American, national champion, etc.
  • Must be a college graduate
  • Letter of recommendation from a pastor of the church attended by the candidate

Coaches and administrators consideration:

  • Must have made a significant impact and brought credit to the university and athletic program
  • Letter of recommendation from a pastor of the church attended by the candidate

Distinguished service members' consideration:

  • Have served in a manner that resulted in a substantially positive impact to the intercollegiate program at Evangel University
  • Have accomplished something in their career that brought special recognition to Evangel University Athletics
  • Made a substantial contribution that impacted the growth and development of Evangel University Athletics
  • Letter of recommendation from a pastor of the church attended by the candidate

Team Honors

  • Teams that have achieved a high level of success that resulted in (but is not limited to) a NAIA national championship, conference or regional championship and/or high placement in a national tournament
  • Must be 10 years removed from when the team competed

Nomination Procedure

Nominations will be accepted by the committee from any source. These nominations should be submitted by completing the nominations form that is linked at the top of this page. Upon receipt of all nominations by the deadline, the chairperson will forward the information to the committee for their review. The committee will convene in March and the selections for induction will be made for the fall induction ceremony.
